What we have, where it came from, and how sure we are
Data Galactica builds one page for every person and company it can find in its sources, and keeps improving them. Something is better than nothing, as long as the page says honestly what it is.
Sources
- Company register. Company and LLP master data published by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs: names, CINs, status, capital, incorporation, registrar, activity codes and registered addresses, merged from monthly and annual releases.
- Directors. Director and partner appointments from licensed company-register data, credited here once: company records include data licensed from Razorpay.
- Career-platform profiles. Education, work, projects, skills and assessment scores that people entered on a careers platform, with their privacy settings respected.
- Corrections and claims sent in by the people and companies on the pages.
Quality grades
- Bronze One self-reported or inferred source, not yet corroborated.
- Silver A structured first-party record (such as a verified mobile or a tested skill), or two sources that agree.
- Gold An official register, or a value confirmed by the profile owner.
- Verified The person or company claimed the page and verified it.
Contact details are never shown in full. Each carries a status: unverified (no check yet), uncertain (the domain accepts mail but the mailbox is unchecked), deliverable (a mailbox check passed) or verified (confirmed by its owner).
What we do not publish
Identity documents, inferred religion, politics or beliefs, and family relationships of private individuals. Profiles that their owners keep private on the source platform get only a minimal page that search engines are told not to index.
We may be wrong
Matching a typed employer name to a registered company, or a director to a person, is probabilistic. Every page has buttons to correct it, claim it or request removal. Privacy and removal.
